조지 거슈윈이 작곡하고 아이라 거슈윈이 작사한 오페라 《포기와 베스 (Porgy and Bess)》에 나오는 노래 중 일부를 녹음한 앨범이다. 2001년에 그래미 명예의 전당에 등재되었다.
